Bamuteeze Priscillah

Priscillah was accepted as a CROSO Scholar in 2022 and is pursuing a Certificate in Fashion and Garment Design at YMCA Comprehensive Institute Business College in Jinja.
Priscillah became interested in fashion and garment design when she was young and experienced a tear in her school uniform that led to teasing. Since then, she has demonstrated a passion for this field by not only learning to mend her clothing, but also offering to assist her classmates too.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE:

Priscillah aspires to start a tailoring business, where she can create her own designs, while also creating employment opportunities for others.  In her application, she states “I make the best out of every situation.”

MORE ON PRISCILLAH’S BACKGROUND:

Priscillah has a very strong sense of entrepreneurship.  Prior to joining CROSO, she assisted with clothing sales for her aunt’s clothing business, catering services for a friend’s catering business, as well as obtaining surplus Vaseline from cosmetic companies to sell to her community in exchange for a commission.

Her secondary school teachers praised her for being well disciplined and persistent in her studies, despite the fact many of her female classmates had dropped out of school. During secondary school, she also served as a Peer Leader for girls at CRO and was active in community service.
