Apili Juliet

Juliet was accepted as a new CROSO Scholar in 2022 and plans to begin working in Medical Laboratory Technology. She is enrolled in a 3 year course at St. Francis School of Health Sciences in Mukono. Juliet has demonstrated a commitment to this field through her volunteer work on the Village Health Team, where she assisted in issues around malaria, COVID-19, and labor issues.

JULIET’S VISION FOR THE FUTURE

Juliet chose Medical Laboratory Technology, as it is a highly demanded field in Uganda. She plans to become a laboratory technician, and obtain the knowledge necessary to conduct research on various diseases.

MORE ABOUT JULIET’S BACKGROUND:

When Juliet’s guardian passed away and she could no longer obtain the fees to assist in obtaining her education, she established a piggery unit to provide for herself and her siblings.  After rejoining school with the help of C.R.O, she received high praise for her leadership skills from her teachers. She was the Health Prefect, Head Girl of School, and was actively involved with counseling other students and participating in charity work for her Church and community.
