Moses is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery at St. Augustine International University; in addition to his present schooling, he has also completed a certificate in nursing in 2011at Ngora Hospital’s School of Enrolled Comprehensive Nursing and he received his diploma in Clinical Medicine in 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s. It is clear that Moses has not only a thirst for knowledge, but is also determined to fulfill his dream of becoming a medical doctor.

Vision for the Future:

Once Moses officially becomes a doctor, he hopes to create and operate his own medical center. Moses recognizes and understands the immense medical attention that Ugandans need, but do not have access to. Moses stated in his application that the doctor to patient ratio is 1:25,000 in Uganda, “But if I become a medical doctor, I will be able to give such people another chance to live. I will also be able to bridge the gap of ‘The doctor is not available.’”

More on Moses Background:

Moses was inspired to pursue a career within the medical field because his mother fell ill to cervix cancer and passed away when he was six; Moses believes that if his mother had access to adequate health services, she may still be alive today. As a result of his mother’s death, Moses and his five siblings were forced to live and search the streets for food. Fortunately, C.R.O was able to assist Moses and provide rehabilitation classes that lead him to become registered in school. Moses has been supported by C.R.O for fourteen years now and is still an active participant there, whenever Moses has the opportunity he assists the nurse there and helps screen, diagnose, and treat, children who may be sick. Moses is extremely passionate about helping others, but he also enjoys reading medical journal and motivational books, listening to soft music, watching inspirational movies, and hanging out with friends.
